Nominated to the WFNS Committee on Devices, Drugs & Materials

An international appointment recognizing Dr. Choudhri’s long-standing work at the intersection of neurosurgical practice and spinal implant innovation.

Haroon F. Choudhri, M.D., FAANS has been nominated for a position on the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) Committee on Devices, Drugs and Materials. The WFNS is the leading international body representing neurosurgeons across more than 130 national societies, and its committees help shape guidance around the safety, effectiveness, and adoption of the technologies used inside operating rooms around the world.

The Committee on Devices, Drugs and Materials works closely with device manufacturers, regulators, and neurosurgeons in active practice to evaluate the tools of the field — from spinal implants and biologics to intraoperative imaging and robotics — and to communicate best practices back to the global neurosurgical community.

“It is a real privilege to be considered for this kind of international service,” said Dr. Choudhri. “So much of what we do for patients depends on the quality of the tools we operate with. Being part of this conversation at a global level is meaningful.”
